Let's Start At The Beginning....

Since this is a new blog, and my focus is being a mom, I thought I'd start at the beginning. For both of my girls, the beginning of them had something to do with Natural Family Planning. When I got married I decided to try the Fertility Awareness Method as birth control. Funny thing about FAM, if you don't understand it, you can't effectively use it. So, 6 months into our marriage my oldest daughter was conceived. A surprise? Yes. A happy one? Without a doubt!

After A was born I did some reading. I read Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler. I finally understood FAM and was able to figure out exactly when A was conceived by looking at my old charts. We used FAM to prevent pregnancy between A & B, and when we were ready for another baby, we used FAM to conceive B. Even if you don't think FAM is for you, I would highly reccomend Toni's book. It's amazing the knoweldge I gained about my body from that book. I now reccomend it to all of my friends. Especially those who are trying to get pregnant, but are unaware of their body's natural fertility signs.
